You Can Give Gift Baskets on Halloween

Just because kids are the only ones that go trick or treating does not mean that grown ups cannot have some fun too during Halloween. Adults throw grown up parties and also give gift baskets that the recipient will surely enjoy. A gift basket is pretty self-explanatory. Since it can be used for any occasion like a housewarming present or a baby shower, you have to put items that suit the occasion like a bunch of scary masks, pumpkins, candies, grapes and even a bottle of wine. You can make this yourself by buying the materials and the items from the grocery or buying it directly from the store. If you choose to make one, the first thing to look around for is the basket. These come in different sizes so be sure that what you get will be able to contain whatever you want to put inside. From there, you can already pick out what goodies will go in the basket so you can fix it up. Before you put the contents inside, get some crumpled and loose paper cut into small pieces then put this in the bottom of the basket so this can act as a cushion. Wrap each item carefully using a colorful gift wrap then slowly put it inside. It will take some time to fit everything right inside the basket so be patient because you are doing your best to maximize the limited space. The last thing you have to do when all the items are inside is to cover up the basket using cellophane wrap. If the basket is big, you might need a couple and when you are finished, bring it up and then tie it using a ribbon as this will preventing it from opening.

Now to add a personal touch, put a nice card addressed to the person you are giving the basket to. A cute one could read in the front something like "open at your own risk" or simply greeting that person a "Happy Halloween."Aside from making or buying a Halloween gift basket from the grocery, there are some that sell it online. They range from $30 to a little over a $100. If you look carefully, there are some who offer this at discounted prices so you end up with a good deal. So, should you make a Halloween gift basket or buy one? That decision is up to you. If you are working on tight budget, follow the instructions so you can make one by yourself. To add a touch of creativity to it, you can put other items than candy, masks, a bottle of wine or pumpkins. A few examples of these are a bouquet of dead flowers since we are accustomed to getting those that blooming already or just about to, toy spider webs, a Halloween CD and some popcorn. Your friend will surely be surprised with the Halloween basket that you are about to give to them. It is creative and original which shows that you are giving something not for the sake of the occasion but because you care about them. Since the gift basket can be used for any occasion, you can do this again and give it to other people. With Christmas less than 2 months away after Halloween, that would be a great idea to give out to friends and family. By william yap

Let's face it, Halloween is all about the candy! Whether we're giving candy or receiving it, that's probably the first thing you think about when someone mentions this fun and spooky holiday. Even with all of the festivities, there are probably people you wish you could celebrate with but can't because they don't live nearby. Despite this logistical problem, there is still a way you can send your spookiest Halloween wishes to them!Gift baskets come in all shapes and sizes and there are many that are created specifically for Halloween. Some are geared more to children and are filled with their favorite candies and chocolate bars. Others are designed with the child of any age in mind, whether they are eight or eighty. Often these gifts are delivered by their maker to the person of your choosing without any hassle to you. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the feeling of putting a smile on someone's face. This can be a great way to send candy to grandchildren or nieces and nephews with whom you wish you could celebrate in person. Not only will they love the candy, what kid doesn't, but they'll also appreciate knowing that you care for them and are thinking of them. It's a fun way to reach out to a child that you love. A Halloween gift basket is also a fun way to reach out to your teenager or young adult who's away at college.

Halloween Gift Ideas

Halloween is a holiday celebrated on the night of October 31. It is a fun holiday when children will dress in their favorite costumes and go out trick-or-treating for candies. This article examines the origin of Halloween, and provides some ideas for Halloween gifts.Halloween has its origin in the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain. The festival of Samhain was a celebration of the end of the harvest season, and could be regarded as the Celtic New Year. The ancient Gaels believed that on October 31, the boundary between the alive and the dead disappeared, and the dead became dangerous for the living by causing illness, damaged crops, and other problems. Costumes and masks were worn at the festival to mimic the evil spirits or placate them. The name "Halloween" is shortened from All Hallows' Eve as it is the eve of "All Hallows' Day", which is now known as All Saints' Day. Although All Saints's Day now occurs one day after Halloween, the Celts started every day at sunset of the night before. Hence Samhain became "the evening of All Hallows".Traditional activities for Halloween include costume parties, carving pumpkins to make Jack-o-lanterns (carved pumpkin lit by a candle inside), trick-or-treating, or reading scary stories. Irish immigrants carried versions of these tradition to North America in the nineteenth century.

Halloween Gift Baskets - A Trend on the Rise

Halloween has become a major gifting occasion over the past few years and the trend is growing. You may wonder who sends Halloween gift baskets when kids just go door-to-door and get candy for free. The statistics might actually surprise you. Everyone from parents, to aunts and uncles, to grandparents, and even corporate businesses are sending Halloween gifts these days. The reasons for sending Halloween gifts vary as well. While it is traditional to send gift baskets at Christmas, Mother's Day and other major holidays or events, sending a Halloween gift can be considered a more 'strategic' pursuit. The end result achieved is the same as the other holidays, but it is done without the gift recipient even realizing it's original intent. Many people expect a gift at Christmas but they don't expect a Halloween gift to arrive by courier! Important reasons for sending Halloween baskets are listed below.First come the Practical. The recipients may live in a neighborhood that either doesn't participate in the shelling out ritual or is deemed unsafe for children to be wandering the streets at night in. The recipient may be ill or injured (picture a poor kid trying to trick-or-treat while using crutches) and therefore unable to hit the streets in search of the sweet stuff. Then come the Sentimental. The recipient may be too old to go tricking-or-treating but the family does not want them to feel left out or ripped off so they send some treats that can be enjoyed without having to endure the social stigma placed upon teens who go door-to door in search of a sugar fix.

One of our largest segments of Halloween basket recipients is the college student. Parents and relatives are often missing those students a great deal by the time that the end of October rolls around so they like to send a little something to let the student know that they are thinking about them and it's a wonderful pick-me-up for the students who are often facing mid-term exams and home sickness around the same time.Other recipients/senders who fall into the sentimental category are adults themselves. Let's face it, not all of us outgrow our sweet tooth! We may not want to go all out by dressing up and hosting or attending an elaborate costume party, but even grown-ups enjoy a treat now and then. Husbands and wives will often send small gifts to each other at their place of work, while older parents may send more substantial baskets to their grown children and their families because they miss them and want to take part in the festivities of the season. Boyfriends and girlfriends also like to send their significant others token gifts that are often reminders of inside jokes between the couple, or just as a sweet gesture of affection.Another important trend is Halloween corporate gifting. While most businesses choose to send Christmas gifts, some businesses can step out in front of the crowd and send a small reminder of the important relationship they have with suppliers, customers or employees at a time when the recipient will least expect it, but definitely remember it. Regardless of the reason or benefit, sending Halloween gift baskets can be just plain fun! By James Guitard

Halloween Gift Baskets

If you are thinking about something unusual for Halloween, then what could be better than Halloween gift baskets. These gifts are specially put together for purchase at this time of year. You can even make your own Halloween gift baskets. Both younger and older children will simply love them.A lot of people may think that Halloween gift baskets would be a very large arrangement and that this type of gift is most commonly used as a present. You may be surprised to know that Halloween gift baskets come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. You can make really small ones for the children in your local neighbourhood or a large Halloween gift basket for the whole family to enjoy. Some people I know do not celebrate Halloween, although I can't think of a good reason why one should not enjoy this time of year to the full. Some people spend their time playing games or going out instead. As my children became more interested in the festivities that surround Halloween, I thought it would be a good idea to make them some Halloween gift baskets. When making Halloween gift baskets I had to approach this with caution as some parents may be opposed to some of the themes surrounding Halloween celebrations. So, instead of opting for the more traditional black and orange colours for my Halloween gift baskets, I decided to use red and white as the main colours. These were designed to be themed.

I decided to make movie based Halloween baskets, with items such as popcorn balls arranged in holders, along with some of their favourite drinks as a special treat. I thought it would be a nice touch for the girls to have autumnal pajamas at the bottom of the gift baskets. What better gift to include in a Halloween gift basket than a movie. Each basket contained a different Halloween movie so that the children could swap them with each other or loan them out to watch. The other children in the neighbourhood were given more traditional Halloween gift baskets with ghoulish treats which they enjoyed immensely.
